Submissions
The Atlas Review accepts anonymous submissions of fiction, non-fiction, poetry and visual art through Submittable. Simultaneous submissions are absolutely fine so long as you notify us through Submittable when your piece has been accepted elsewhere. Please only submit once per reading period, though you’re welcome to submit in multiple categories. Our response time will usually be about a month after our reading period ends.

Question…I just tried to make an account for a submission, and it’s telling me that my user name (e-mail) is already in use…except…I’ve never submitted to you guys…So…how do I fix this?

If you’ve ever used Submittable for any other publication, then you do indeed have a username. You would just log-in with that information and then you’ll be able to submit. If you have further questions, you should contact Submittable though.

How big should the images be? i.e. 1920 pixels at longest side or 1.8MB or smaller? I have some large images at 300 that are 3GB, but I doubt you’d want me to upload them.
As long as you’re able to upload the file through Submittable, we’ll look at it.
Question: Do I have to submit anonymously? Can I submit works that were previously posted online?
Yes, you must submit anonymously. Your identity must not appear anywhere in your manuscript or it will be returned unread.
As for previously posted online, this is a gray area—if you’re referring to online journals, then no, you cannot submit that work. If it appears on a blog, it may be in your best interest to ask that blog to remove your piece before submitting. As a rule though, my best advice would be to always submit new work. Always be writing, always be submitting.

According to your website, the deadline for submissions is November 15th, but when I went on Submittable, the poetry deadline says November 1st. Could you clarify which one is correct?

Apologies! We had set up Submittable before we had made a final decision on deadline. The deadline is November 15th!
When I click the Submittable link, it gives me this error:
404 – File or directory not found.
The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.
Is there a renewed link?
